Chapter 2 summary

In this chapter it starts by talking about the viewers expectations in what makes them watch the film and what expectations they have. Like if they see a movie is coming out with their favorite movie star than most likely they will wanna see that movie. Then it goes into motifs, motifs are recurring elements that happen during the film that help to create an overall theme. It talks about parallels which are comparisons between two characters events or locations using a narrative element, visual and sound design. The it goes into how films create meaning, like referencing historical events, art, other films. It also talks about compilation films which are composed of scenes from other films. Next it talks about film style. Which is the way the film is presented. It talks about what makes films unique. Themes in Conceptual

The theme in art I want to explore is the theme of Stories and Histories. I like the idea of how stories can be expressed through art and how people can express themselves through stories and histories. To look at how stories and histories has already effected me is i go to church. Im a practicing roman catholic, i go to church every Sunday. At church we have a priest who reads a bible. A Bible is basically a stories and history of Jesus. I like how the bible is art, people look at painting and get different meanings from there where when you read the bible people get different types of ideas on what Jesus life was like. Many artists have gotten inspiration from the bible. If you look at what some people say is one of the most well known paintings is "The Last Supper" created by one of the best artists Leonardo da Vinci.
